The Certified Physician Life Care Planner (CPLCP)™ certification distinguishes practicing physicians who are Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, who are Certified Life Care Planners (CLCP), and who have completed advanced requirements in order to achieve and maintain CPLCP™ Certification.

Physicians are unique within the discipline of life care planning, as only they possess the capacity to independently formulate and defend medical opinion; which means only they have the independent capacity to formulate and defend opinions regarding a subject’s diagnostic conditions, disabilities, probable duration of care, and future medical requirements.

CPLCP™ certification recognizes life care planners who meet the highest level of professional capacity to engage in life care planning, and who adhere to specific, highest-level medical and rehabilitative methodological standards.
